Bentley’s upcoming 2010 Continental Supersport has been spied undergoing high performance testing on Germany’s famous Nürburgring.

As the video shows, the production Supersport features minor design tweaks that hint this is no ordinary Bentley Continental GT. Key styling differences include redesigned air intakes, new hood vents, a slightly modified rear bumper, and unique 20-inch alloy wheels.

Although it doesn’t wear the prestigious “Speed” moniker, the Continental Supersport actually surpasses that model thanks to its E85 compatible twin-turbo 6.0-liter W12 engine. Rated at 621 horsepower (463kW) and 800 Nm of torque, the Supersport runs from 0-60 mph in 3.7 seconds before hitting a top speed of 204 mph (329 km/h).

Of course, Bentley’s quest for ultimate performance didn’t stop under the bonnet. The company’s engineers added a sports suspension with stiffer bushings, a “Quickshift” gearbox, and a Servotronic steering unit for improved feedback. The Supersport can also be equipped with a $16,500 (USD) high performance braking package that features largest and most powerful carbon ceramic brakes ever fitted to a production car.

Look for the Continental Supersport to start arriving at US dealers this fall with a base price of $273,295 (USD).
